Actress Lee Joo-bin got honest about her long years of obscurity and the anxiety she still feels today.

The latest episode of ‘Beopryun Road: Monk and Guest’, aired on the 26th, followed the journey of Noh Hong-chul, Lee Sang-yoon, Lee Joo-bin, and Lee Ki-taek as they traveled to Bodh Gaya, India.

During an ‘Instant Question and Answer’ session while traveling, Lee Joo-bin calmly shared worries she had kept hidden. Revealing that she worked part-time since her school days to pay for tuition, she recalled, “After becoming independent at 21, I always lived with a sense of anxiety. I spent 10 years as an aspiring actress. I was never cast regardless of how many auditions I did, so eventually, I just endured it out of sheer stubbornness.”

She added that there were times she felt so discouraged that she “thought about quitting acting after filming just one project.”

Despite her steady activity since debuting and landing lead roles, Lee Joo-bin admitted that the anxiety still lingers. “I don’t know what I truly want. I struggle with what I need to do to be happy,” she confessed.

In response, Monk Beopryun advised, “People often try to find a definitive answer because they believe what they want is fixed. However, what you want can constantly change depending on the situation.” He added a touching message, saying, “It is important to recognize and respect yourself exactly as you are. Do not be too hard on yourself.”

Lee Joo-bin made her debut in 2017 through the SBS drama ‘Whisper’. After building her acting career through various roles, she most recently starred as the female lead Yoon Bom in the tvN drama ‘Spring Fever’, which concluded this past February.
