Cortis Drops 'TNT' Music Video, Showcasing Members' Creative Genius!

Cortis released the music video for “TNT,” a track from their second mini album GREENGREEN, on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel at 6 PM on the 4th. The new album’s tracks were also released at the same time.

All five members participated in the planning and directing of the “TNT” music video and are officially credited as co-directors.

“TNT” is a song that condenses the burning passion of Cortis, blending an addictive melody with a gritty sound. The lyrics depict the moment their potential explodes in the studio and practice room, with lines like “In the corner of the room, five immature kids every night / In front of the studio computer, awakened DNA” and “All night, Sinawi / Dance, possessed,” revealing their true sincerity toward music.

The music video creates a sense of urgency as it shows the members being chased by a massive crowd. The theme of the video started with the members’ own ideas. Before the main production, Cortis created an animatic (storyboard video) using footage they filmed themselves along with sources from existing movies and videos. The angles, composition, and settings intended in the animatic were heavily reflected in the final music video.

The five members run and run. After encountering residents while walking through an alley, they sprint at full speed to escape a suddenly growing crowd. To express the overwhelming feeling of the surging crowd, about 500 extras were mobilized. The thrill of nearly being caught keeps viewers on edge throughout the video. Added humor makes it even more enjoyable, such as a popcorn machine exploding in time with the lyric “Drop the coordinates and boom! (What you mean?)” and the appearance of a “Dongmyo Outlet” sign, reflecting the members’ vintage tastes.

The raw vibe that permeates the second mini album is delivered intuitively. The gritty texture of camcorder footage, dynamic shaking, and a sense of urgency are conveyed directly through the screen. The surreal situation of hundreds of people sprinting is contrasted with extremely realistic Korean backgrounds, such as multi-unit housing areas, neighborhood shops, and school playgrounds, adding to the unique atmosphere.
