Kim Jaejoong bonded deeply with Takuya while opening up about his family history.
The upcoming episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Mr. House Husband Season 2’ (Salimnam), airing on the 9th, will feature the meeting between Kim Jaejoong and Takuya.
In a recently released preview, Kim Jaejoong visited Takuya’s home for a surprise inspection, asking, “How do you even live like this?” After looking around the house, he gave Takuya a reality check, saying, “Those whiskey bottles, luxury items everywhere… it’s all just for show. It’s fake. You don’t look cool.”
Kim Jaejoong and Takuya then visited one of Korea’s top fortune tellers. The fortune teller delivered some blunt truths, saying Takuya has the “vibe of a pushover” and that things were “a complete mess.” Kim Jaejoong teased him, asking, “Are you a pushover?” while Takuya responded with an awkward smile.
Meanwhile, Takuya shared his inner thoughts with Kim Jaejoong, who experienced a similar childhood.
Takuya previously touched viewers’ hearts in a March episode when he reunited with his biological father after 25 years, having been separated since age 10.
After searching for him, Takuya found his father at a dormitory for a newspaper delivery company. Upon seeing his son, Takuya’s father couldn’t even lift his head and wept, saying, “I’m sorry.”
Takuya burst into tears, admitting, “The image I wanted to show my biological father was ‘I grew up like this.’ I wanted to show him that I grew up strong,” moving the audience.
During the show, Takuya confided in Kim Jaejoong, asking, “I wonder if I should see my father…” In response, Kim Jaejoong, who was adopted by his current parents at age 3 and carries scars from his biological parents, calmly shared his own story, mentioning, “I heard that a man who was my father came to visit.”
