Singer and actress Son Dam-bi recently shared some sweet updates featuring her husband Lee Kyu-hyuk and their daughter.
Celebrating Children’s Day on May 5, Son Dam-bi posted several photos on her account with the caption, “Children’s Day. Oppa, Hei, I love you,” showing the family spending quality time together.
In the photos, daughter Hei was seen in a high-end “parenting item”—an electric cart that combines a stroller and an electric car—valued at around 4 million won. This caught the attention of netizens, who commented, “The level of gifts for her daughter is insane. I’m so jealous,” “You can really feel the happy family vibe through the photos,” “It’s great to see her looking more settled after marriage,” and “Hei looks exactly like her dad. So cute!”
Previously, Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyu-hyuk held their daughter’s first birthday party in the outdoor garden of a five-star hotel in Seoul last April. Addressing the recent “luxury parenting” controversy, Son Dam-bi uploaded a video to her channel ‘Dambi Son’ on the 1st, clarifying, “Everyone seems to think I buy a lot of things for Hei, but they were all gifts.” She emphasized that there is no extravagance in her parenting, adding, “I haven’t bought much. I received so many gifts not only for the first birthday but also for the 100th day. I don’t buy many clothes for the baby; it’s mostly just innerwear or socks.”
Born in 1983, Son Dam-bi debuted in the music industry in 2007 with the single album ‘Cry Eye’. She shot to stardom in 2008 with the title track ‘Mi쳤어’ from her second mini-album and continued her success with hits like ‘Saturday Night’ and ‘The Queen’. In 2022, she married former speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk, who is five years her senior, and welcomed their first daughter, Hei, in April last year.
