BTS is continuing their long-term success, staying in the Top 3 of the US Billboard Global charts for six consecutive weeks.
According to the latest Billboard chart (dated May 9) released on the 5th, “SWIM,” the title track from BTS’s 5th full-length album “ARIRANG,” ranked 2nd on both the “Global (Excl. U.S.)” and “Global 200” charts. Notably, “SWIM” climbed one spot on the “Global 200” compared to the previous week.
Furthermore, all 13 singing tracks—excluding the sound of the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok—have entered both charts for six consecutive weeks, proving the consistent popularity of the entire album.
The momentum continued on the main charts as well. “ARIRANG” ranked 5th on the “Billboard 200,” maintaining a top position for six straight weeks. The album previously made history as the first work by a Korean artist to hold the #1 spot for three consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, “SWIM” has remained on the “Hot 100” for six weeks, currently sitting at 32nd.
The group also saw strong results across detailed charts. “ARIRANG” reached 4th on “Top Album Sales” and 11th on “Top Streaming Albums,” while climbing three spots to 5th on the “Vinyl Albums” chart.
“SWIM” placed 16th on “Digital Song Sales” and 19th on “Adult Contemporary,” as well as 12th on “Pop Airplay,” 14th on “Adult Pop Airplay,” and 24th on “Radio Songs.” These results across digital sales and radio metrics prove the song’s wide public appeal.
Additionally, “Pied Piper,” a song released in 2017 and performed during the “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’” stop in Tampa, Florida, re-entered the “World Digital Song Sales” chart at 9th, showing the massive impact of their live performances.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently on their “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN NORTH AMERICA,” consisting of 31 shows across 12 cities, starting from Tampa on April 25 (local time). On May 2 and 3, they drew approximately 100,000 fans to the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso.
The city of El Paso turned into a festival atmosphere, with the local landmark “Star on the Mountain” lit up in purple and the “El Paso Streetcar” extending its operating hours. After the El Paso show, BTS will continue the tour heat at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City starting on the 7th.
