In ‘Sold Out Again,’ Chae Won-bin faced a major crisis after causing an unprecedented broadcasting accident.
In the episode of SBS’s ‘Sold Out Again’ aired on the 6th, Matthew (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) declared that the essence could not be sold during the home shopping broadcast.
Earlier, Ye-jin was surprised when Matthew suggested meeting ‘in front of her house,’ eventually agreeing to meet the next day at 9 AM.
With the MFDS test results still pending, Ye-jin was feeling anxious. Matthew found her at a convenience store picking up wake-up gum and coffee, jokingly asking, “Are you planning to never sleep again?”
A startled Ye-jin remembered their appointment and replied, “I don’t need medicine today because I’m not going to sleep.” Matthew then led her to a flower bed near his house, sharing a sweet moment as Ye-jin marveled at the spot.

When she asked how to judge that point, Matthew comforted her, saying, “You probably know that better than I do. You know yourself best. And you’ve done great so far. Trust yourself tomorrow,” which brought a smile to Ye-jin’s face.
Meanwhile, before the live broadcast, test results revealed that microorganisms were detected in the essence scheduled for sale. Matthew rushed to Hit Studio, and despite Mu-won’s (played by Yoon Byung-hee) attempts to stop him, he insisted, “Even if L’Etoile recalls everything, we can’t be 100% sure. Another case like Som-i might happen.”
Fortunately, Matthew met Ye-jin just before the live show and handed her the test results. He explained the urgency, saying, “If you look at the numbers right now, it seems fine. But you have to look at the numbers from the last three days and today. With this culture rate, we can’t guarantee tomorrow. We must stop today’s broadcast.”
When Ye-jin tried to push through with the broadcast, citing her promise to the customers, Matthew was baffled, asking, “Are you really planning to sell a product with issues right now?”
Ultimately, Ye-jin went live and made a shocking announcement: “Before we begin, we ask for your understanding. We will not be selling the essence in today’s broadcast,” leaving viewers curious about what will happen next.
