Ador Shares Update on Minji’s Return to NewJeans: “Discussions Moving in a Positive Direction”

Ador has finally spoken up regarding Minji’s potential return to NewJeans!

On the 7th, Ador told MK Sports that they are continuing internal discussions regarding her future activities.

While they can’t share specific details just yet, the agency added, “Please understand that discussions are currently proceeding in a generally positive direction.”

Ador Shares Update on Minji's Return to NewJeans:

Following a contract dispute after leaving without permission in November 2024, NewJeans ultimately lost the case. Haerin and Hyein returned in November last year, followed by Hanni in December, opening the door for the group to resume activities. However, in Minji’s case, the agency had stated they were “continuing dialogue to broaden mutual understanding,” leaving her in a state of “discussion” for over five months.

Earlier this year, sightings of Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein in Copenhagen, Denmark, spread across online communities and social media, sparking rumors that NewJeans might be preparing a comeback as a trio.

At the time, Ador explained that the Copenhagen visit was part of the pre-production process to capture a new musical narrative for NewJeans. They stated, “The members are preparing for activities according to their individual conditions and optimized schedules. We will officially announce their future steps at the best possible time.” Regarding Minji’s status, however, they remained cautious, simply saying it was “under discussion.”

Fans recently got a glimpse of Minji after she made a surprise visit to a birthday cafe organized by fans, where she delivered home-baked cookies, four-cut photos, and a handwritten letter. In her letter, she told Bunnies, “There are so many things I want to say to Bunnies, but a chance will definitely come, so please always stay healthy and happy.”

Following this, Ador’s official account posted a birthday message for Minji along with behind-the-scenes photos of the cookies she made for fans. This has led many to believe that Minji is on her way to reuniting with the team.

Meanwhile, Ador has declared the termination of Danielle’s contract and is currently pursuing a lawsuit for approximately 43 billion won in penalties and damages against three individuals, including Min Hee-jin, the CEO of OK Records and former CEO of Ador.
