Son Yeo-eun Opens Up About Marriage: “Kids Are Cute, But I Still Have So Much to Do!”

Son Yeo-eun Opens Up About Marriage:

Actress Son Yeo-eun has shared her candid thoughts on marriage!

On the afternoon of the 8th, an interview with Son Yeo-eun took place at CLN Company in Gangnam, Seoul, following her appearance in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Shin-irang Law Firm’.

‘Shin-irang Law Firm’ is a quirky yet heartwarming adventure featuring Shin-irang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok), a ‘possessed lawyer’ who resolves the grudges of the deceased, and Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som), a ‘cold elite lawyer’ who will do whatever it takes to win a case.

In the series, Son Yeo-eun plays the role of Shin Sa-rang, the supportive older sister who silently protects her younger brother, I-rang, who is destined to see ghosts.

Describing Shin Sa-rang as a “sister you rarely see in real life,” Son Yeo-eun explained, “I actually asked people around me, but reality was just too different. It was hard to find a real-life version of Sa-rang. The director told me he wanted her to be the kind of sister people wish they had, even if she wasn’t completely fantasy.”

In real life, Son Yeo-eun is the youngest of two daughters. Describing herself as a “total youngest child,” she shared, “My older sister took care of me a lot since I was young. She’s like an angel. I think I acted out Sa-rang while thinking of my own sister.”

She added, “I’ve never seen my sister get angry since I was a child. Looking at old photos, my sister is always taking care of me.”

Son Yeo-eun also showed her love for her family, saying, “My mother was so happy that I looked pretty in this project. She’s a huge fan who watches every drama I’m in, including the reruns. Because of that, I feel like each project is a gift to my family.”

However, when it comes to starting her own family, she explained it’s a different story. “I love children, but I think having my own child would be different. I don’t think you can really know what it’s like to start a new family until you experience it. Some of my friends are happily married, while others struggle. I don’t have any concrete plans for marriage or starting a family, and I’m happy as I am now.”

She continued, “When I was younger, I thought continuing my work was the most important thing, so I don’t think I ever really considered starting a family. I felt there was so much more I needed to do. I wonder if that’s just my personal value system. While it would be great to build a happy family, I don’t think I’ll actively search for it.”

Meanwhile, ‘Shin-irang Law Firm,’ starring Son Yeo-eun, came to an end on the 2nd.
