TWS, the group under HYBE label Pledis Entertainment, has officially opened a new chapter, showing growth that goes beyond their heart-fluttering boyish charms.
Making a comeback on the 27th of last month with their 5th mini album ‘NO TRAGEDY’, TWS has expanded their own unique genre, ‘Boyhood Pop’.
While keeping their signature fresh and refreshing musical color, they have broadened their spectrum by adding more sophisticated music and performances, thanks to their solid musical skills.
Known for their clear and clean voices, TWS showcases more detailed vocal expressions in ‘NO TRAGEDY’ based on the members’ deep understanding of various genres. The title track ‘You, You’ represents this, highlighting trendy house genre tones and smooth falsetto. They also showed their determination not to settle for their previous style through boom bap hip hop and calm, atmospheric tracks.
As the music evolved, so did the performance. With all members possessing strong dance skills, TWS completed a sensory performance by adding controlled energy to their existing refreshing vibe.
Since their debut, TWS has promoted ‘Boyhood Pop’, a unique genre expanded from the team’s identity. They have stimulated the pure and beautiful emotions of youth, and through this album, they have firmly proven the expansion possibilities of the genre.
This evolution led to great results. ‘NO TRAGEDY’ surpassed 1 million copies sold within four days of release, making it their first million-seller. The title track also landed high on major global charts.
Their presence in the performance market is also growing. TWS will appear at Japan’s largest music festival, ‘Summer Sonic 2026’, this August. Before that, they will enter the KSPO Dome for the first time in about two years since their debut with their new tour, ‘2026 TWS Tour ’24/7: For You’, starting in June.
Having debuted in 2024 and now entering their third year, TWS has seen consecutive hits with ‘Plot Twist’, ‘if i’m S, can you be my N?’, ‘unplugged’, and ‘Overdrive’. All eyes are now on the new chapter of ‘Boyhood Pop’ expanded through ‘You, You’.
