A new project group, ‘Arihyo’, is here to give the buzzy unit ‘Hyori-su’ a run for their money!
The May 9 episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Immortal Songs’ (Episode 755) features the second part of the ‘Composer Joo Young-hoon’ special. Performers including Son Seung-yeon X Cho Hyung-kyun, Aiki X Rihey X Hyojin Choi, Chae Yeon, NEXZ, and D82 will reinterpret the legendary hits of star composer Joo Young-hoon.
A special unit has formed just for ‘Immortal Songs’, grabbing everyone’s attention. Korea’s representative dancers Aiki, Rihey, and Hyojin Choi have joined forces as ‘Arihyo’ to showcase their trusted performance skills and surprising vocal abilities. Aiki and Rihey previously caused a stir with their explosive vocals and dancing on the ‘2026 Oh My Star Special’, where Hyojin Choi’s enthusiastic cheering also caught the eye. Now, fans are eager to see their first performance as a trio.
Hyojin Choi shared her feelings about stepping onto a stage to show off her vocals for the first time. “Since it’s my first time singing in front of the world, I’m very nervous,” she admitted, adding a cheerful twist, “But since there are so many great singers here, I’ve decided to just enjoy it.” However, she also revealed her intense preparation: “I didn’t even laugh for two days because I was worried about my throat. I heard musical theater acquaintances don’t even speak before a show, so I tried that.” This led to a laugh-out-loud moment when musical actors Son Seung-yeon and Cho Hyung-kyun revealed the truth, saying, “Who does that? We chat right up until the performance!”
Meanwhile, ‘Arihyo’ will take the stage with Uhm Jung Hwa’s ‘Rose of Betrayal’ and ‘Poison’, both mega-hit dance tracks by Joo Young-hoon. Looking back at their practice, the group revealed their unstoppable survival instincts. Aiki jokingly confessed, “Actually, we’re in competition mode even within the team. We keep stealing each other’s parts,” leaving everyone in stitches. Expectations are high for ‘Arihyo’s’ version of ‘Rose of Betrayal’ and ‘Poison’, born from the fierce competitive spirit of these queens. The episode airs on the 9th at 6:05 PM.
