Lee Jun and DinDin were completely worn out after an intense session of anchovy fishing on ‘1 Night 2 Days’.
In the KBS2 ‘1 Night 2 Days’ episode aired on the 24th, the first part of the “Namhae Working Holiday” story unfolded. The episode recorded a 5.5% rating according to Nielsen Korea, ranking first in its time slot. In particular, the scene where Lee Jun and DinDin collapsed after the grueling anchovy fishing hit a peak rating of 7.9%.
The production team initially introduced the trip as a “Namhae Holiday,” getting the members excited from the opening. Then, a surprise first-come, first-served car lottery took place, and the quick-footed Yoo Sun-ho was the first to board. However, there was a huge twist! Yoo Sun-ho’s car headed to a cuttlefish fishing site, and Lee Jun was dragged along by Yoo Sun-ho’s choice. The real concept revealed later was actually a “Namhae Working Holiday.”
Luckily escaping the fishing penalty, Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, and DinDin started their free trip. They enjoyed some luxury, like buying bread at a hotel using 200,000 won provided by the staff. Not stopping there, the three borrowed an additional 100,000 won to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of Namhae.
Meanwhile, Lee Jun and Yoo Sun-ho did their best despite suffering from seasickness. After two hours of hard work, they earned a total of 144,000 won. However, they were furious to discover that Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, and DinDin had spent a whopping 249,000 won during their free trip, leaving the team with a debt of over 100,000 won.
Reunited at the beach, the members played a “Tube Lottery” to decide who would help with the anchovy fishing. As a result, Kim Jong-min, Lee Jun, and DinDin were selected. After changing into work clothes, they competed in a “One-Person Rescue Lottery” for a single exemption ticket. After a fierce battle, Kim Jong-min won the ticket, leaving Lee Jun and DinDin to head to the anchovy fishing site. Being their first time doing such labor, the two struggled and made numerous mistakes.
After a grueling battle with the anchovies, Lee Jun and DinDin finally finished and took a well-deserved rest. DinDin shared, “This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” while Lee Jun lamented, “I think I finally understand why Kim Byung-man sunbaenim cried.” Despite their hard work, the debt only grew due to the overspending of the exempted members. On the 18th, ‘1 Night 2 Days’ announced that Lee Ki-taek and Lee Yong-jin would join the cast following Yoo Sun-ho’s departure. The two completed their first filming on May 22.
