Fashion designer Ko Tae-yong, a CEO with 10 billion won in sales, showed off his incredible network and career history.
On the May 24 episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Boss in the Mirror’, 19-year veteran fashion designer Ko Tae-yong joined the show as a new boss.
During the episode, Ko Tae-yong shared, “My brand might be unfamiliar to some, but everyone knows the Gatti T-shirt. I’m the one who created it. I’m the only one whose brand has sold over 1 million units of a single product. My peak sales exceeded 10 billion won.” His clothes have been worn by stars such as Jun Hyun-moo, Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook, and Lee Yu-bi.
Ko Tae-yong, who has held shows both in Seoul and abroad, mentioned, “Lee Jong-suk and Byeon Woo-seok are among the friends who have participated in our collections.” He also listed Nam Joo-hyuk, Joo Woo-jae, and Jang Ki-yong, leaving the MCs shocked as they noted, “They were the top models of their time!”
He further bragged, “I also designed and styled the school uniforms for the drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’. It might sound like I’m boasting, but I’m the only person to have won the Rookie, Excellence, and Grand Prize at the Designer Fashion Awards. I’ve been in the industry for 19 years, and that record still stands.”
