14-year-old singer Hwang Min-ho recently bragged about keeping a stash of cash in a safe!
On the May 13 episode of MBC’s Radio Star (Episode 965), Hwang Min-ho appeared as a guest alongside Seo Kyung-seok, Choi Tae-sung, and Kim Sung-eun.
During the show, Hwang Min-ho revealed, “Fans give me allowance. At first, I refused because I felt sorry and burdened. But they were genuinely sad, so I started accepting it, realizing it’s their way of showing love. They gave me so much that it wouldn’t even fit in my pockets! One audience member even threw a bag onto the stage and told me, ‘Put it in there,’ so I put all the allowance in and sang.”
“I have a safe in my room that fans bought for me. My mom manages the money, so only she and I know the password. My dad and brother don’t know, and I’ll never tell them!” Hwang Min-ho added that looking at his brother, he expects his allowance to stop by the time he’s in his third year of middle school. This prompted Kim Gura to joke, “Aren’t you just trying to squeeze out as much as possible now? Take it while you can,” which left everyone laughing.
Born in 2013, Hwang Min-ho is 12 years old. Born to a Korean father and a Vietnamese mother, he is the younger brother of trot singer Hwang Min-woo, known as ‘Little Psy,’ who is eight years his senior. Last March, Hwang Min-ho revealed his family’s four-story detached house on MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View.
