K-pop superstars BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) have officially set Mexico on fire!

On the 6th (local time), BTS met with President Claudia Sheinbaum at the Presidential Palace in Mexico City.

The members visited the palace at the special invitation of the President.

After their meeting, the group appeared on the palace balcony to greet approximately 50,000 ARMYs who had gathered in Zócalo Square.

The response was absolutely overwhelming, with the heart of Mexico City packed with fans.

Fans welcomed the group with signs saying “Welcome to Mexico” and “BTS is always in the heart of Mexico,” while some were seen shedding tears of joy.

V took the lead by greeting the crowd in Spanish, and other members, including Jungkook, also shared short messages. Jimin and Suga expressed their gratitude by posting photos of the massive crowd on their personal social media accounts.

President Sheinbaum had previously expressed her excitement back in January after the Mexico City shows were confirmed, calling it a “historic moment” and even requesting additional performance dates.

Following their meeting, the President shared photos on social media, writing, “I am happy to welcome one of the most beloved groups among Mexico’s youth. Music and values connect Mexico and Korea.”

BTS will perform their “BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG'” for three days on May 7, 9, and 10 at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.

All tickets for the shows were sold out immediately after going on sale.
