82MAJOR is showing steady growth and proving their status as “performance idols” by hitting a new career high!
The group 82MAJOR (Nam Seong-mo, Park Seok-jun, Yoon Ye-chan, Cho Seong-il, Hwang Seong-bin, Kim Do-kyun) recorded first-week sales of 120,238 copies (April 28 to May 4) for their 5th mini album ‘FEELM’, surpassing the 120,000 mark for the first time since their debut. This figure instantly beats the record set by their previous work, ‘Trophy’.
This new release comes about six months after their 4th mini album ‘Trophy’ in October last year. The title ‘FEELM’ is a combination of “Feel” and “Film,” capturing various emotional moments like a movie. Notably, all members participated in the songwriting, composing, and arranging, once again proving their skills as “self-producing idols.”

The album features a variety of genres that showcase 82MAJOR’s musical growth. The opening track ‘W.T.F’ starts with jazz and shifts into an intense beat. ‘CAGE’, a Baile Funk track, sings about the irony of love through a contrast of exciting beats and lyrical melodies. ‘CIRCLES’ blends feelings of longing over a heavy bass. Finally, ‘YESSIR!’ is a house-based dance track that interprets retro samples in a modern way, delivering a message of “moving forward as myself.”
The response has been hot both domestically and globally. On the day of release, the album ranked 2nd on the Hanteo Daily Album Chart and 7th on the Weekly Album Chart (April 27 to May 3), while the title track ‘Sign’ landed on the Melon ‘Hot 100’ (within 30 days of release). On China’s largest music platform, NetEase Cloud Music, they showed steady growth, entering the Korean Song Chart at 20th, the Rising Chart at 29th, and the New Song Chart at 63rd. Following their win for “Potential Overseas Group of the Year” at the recent Weibo International Entertainment Awards, their chart success signals their leap as a global K-pop trend.
On the iTunes charts, they hit #1 on the Spain ‘Top 100 Song Downloads’ chart for the first time since debut. They also topped the Vietnam ‘Top Album’ chart and appeared on charts in Turkey, Canada, Indonesia, and Japan, revealing their powerful global influence.
The ‘Sign’ music video, which surpassed 6 million views in just one week, has gained even more heat with the release of the performance version. In the video, 82MAJOR dominated the screen with breathtaking sexy charisma, even in the extreme environment of an underwater stage. With global K-pop fans pouring in reactions to their intense performance, 82MAJOR has once again confirmed their true value as “performance idols.”
