Actor Kim Seung-hyun’s daughter recently expressed her frustration over the “Youth Rent Support Project.”
On May 10, a video was uploaded to the ‘Gwangsan Kim Family’ channel showing Kim Seung-hyun meeting his eldest daughter, Subin, ahead of Parents’ Day.
27-year-old Subin sent a heartfelt video message filled with apology and gratitude since she was unable to visit her grandparents for the holiday. The father and daughter then worked together to make a dumpling hot pot to treat their elders.
Kim Seung-hyun asked, “Did you spend too much on your grandmother’s 70th birthday gift? Is your wallet feeling the hit?” Having gifted a luxury bag and scarf, Subin coolly responded, “Honestly, it did hit my budget. But it’s okay. I earn money to spend it. This is exactly why I work.”

When Kim Seung-hyun asked how much she had saved, Subin kept her savings a secret. Kim Seung-hyun then shared a helpful tip: “I’ll give you some good info. There’s a ‘Youth Rent Support Project’ mentioned in local brochures. If you apply, you can get up to 200,000 won per month for up to 24 months to help with housing costs.” However, the eligibility required a rental deposit of 80 million won or less and a monthly rent of 600,000 won or less.
When Kim Seung-hyun asked if she qualified, Subin complained, “Where is there a place with rent under 600,000 won? These days, rent is at least 800,000 won. Isn’t this basically saying they won’t support us?”
