Boom finally overcame his regrets from his first hike on ‘Choi Woo Su San’!
In the second episode of MBC’s ‘Choi Woo Su San’ aired on the 10th, Boom claimed the title of the 2nd “Best Person” by collecting the most acorns and winning the final mission during the battle for the summit of Daedunsan. As a reward, he was the first to descend via cable car, enjoyed a healing bubble bath, and even received a 10% increase in his appearance fee.
The members began their trek up Daedunsan. Tensions rose during the “Lung Capacity Mouth Soccer” game, where they had to move a ball by blowing air while wearing mouth-expanders. Chaos ensued when Jang Dong-min secretly held water in his mouth and sprayed it, forcing the game to stop. Yang Se-hyung was furious at the “dirty play” and responded by grabbing Jang Dong-min’s hair, leaving everyone in stitches.
During the challenging hike, announcer Park So-young, who is Yang Se-hyung’s ideal type, made a surprise appearance. Unlike her usual bright energy, Park So-young focused seriously on hosting the quiz. The members’ hilarious attempts to find the correct answer kept viewers hooked. While Jang Dong-min risked crossing a dizzying suspension bridge to check a sign, the other members used their intuition to guess, and Boom eventually got the right answer, adding to the fun.
Upon arriving at the Acorn Mountain Restaurant, the members competed in an auction for course meal vouchers from chef Kim Mi-ryung, hosted by Park So-young. Yoo Se-yoon and Boom won the luxury course, while Yang Se-hyung and Jang Dong-min secured the mid-tier course. This left Heo Kyung-hwan with the low-tier option—convenience store triangle kimbap and water—marking the start of his streak of bad luck.
The contrast was stark as Boom paid a toll to enjoy a peaceful walk, while Yoo Se-yoon, Jang Dong-min, Heo Kyung-hwan, and Yang Se-hyung faced the terrifying “Three-Line Stairs” on a cliff. After reaching the summit, the “Best Person” was decided via a claw machine mission. Boom, who suffered from having no acorns during the first hike, collected the most this time, earning the most attempts and the highest score to become the 2nd “Best Person.”
In the unreleased footage shown at the end, after Boom left with his rewards—the 10% pay raise, cable car descent, and accommodation voucher—the remaining members had to determine the final loser. Heo Kyung-hwan, whose luck was nonexistent all day, suffered one final blow to become the ultimate loser, cementing his status as the “icon of misfortune.”
MBC’s ‘Choi Woo Su San’ continues to stimulate viewers’ dopamine with the unpredictable battle for the summit among Yoo Se-yoon, Jang Dong-min, Heo Kyung-hwan, Boom, and Yang Se-hyung. The show airs every Sunday at 6 PM.
