Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and SeeYa’s Boram have finally spoken out about their past dating rumors.
On May 11, SeeYa appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Donghae-mul and Baekdu-Eunhyuk’.
During the episode, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and SeeYa’s Lee Boram gave a full explanation regarding their past dating rumors. As the topic came up right from the start, Eunhyuk asked, “Are there still people who believe it?” to which Boram replied, “No. I’m so sick of it.” When old photos of the two appeared, Eunhyuk reacted by calling them “the worst,” sparking laughter.
Boram explained the situation at the time, saying, “I didn’t do anything; it happened because of Eunhyuk. We were at the ‘Dream Concert,’ and during the final group stage, Eunhyuk just tapped my head as he walked past.” A video of the moment was shown, and Donghae commented, “That’s not something couples do; it’s more like, ‘Hey, I’m leaving.’ You can see the annoyed expression on her face.” Eunhyuk agreed, adding, “If we were actually dating, I wouldn’t have been able to do that.”
Boram continued, “So the next day, the company asked, ‘What’s the relationship between you two?’ We told them we were just friends, but the articles still came out. I heard reporters were asking what was going on,” confirming they were only friends.
Eunhyuk revealed that they later formed the ’86 gathering’ with Donghae and Yeonji, a group nicknamed ‘Ashtray’ (Lee Hyuk-jae and his followers). When Donghae wondered what they used to do for fun, Boram recalled, “We played at the playground in front of the dorm.” Eunhyuk and Donghae reminisced, “Since none of us drank, we just sat there and had water gun fights.” Eunhyuk added, “Honestly, if we had been dating, we would have been caught in photos at places like that, but there isn’t a single one.”
Later, Nam Gyuri confessed, “I actually thought Boram and (Eunhyuk) had dated.” When Eunhyuk asked if she was one of the people who believed it, Nam Gyuri admitted, “Yes. I thought you actually dated but were just saying you didn’t because so much time had passed. Now the misunderstanding is cleared.” Hearing this, Eunhyuk and Boram breathed a sigh of relief.
