Comedian Kim Dong-ha recalled the final moments of the late Jeon Yu-seong.
On May 11, a video featuring guests Kwak Beom, Lee Seon-min, Lee Jae-yul, and Kim Dong-ha was uploaded to the channel ‘Zzanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yup’.
Recalling his visit to Jeon Yu-seong right before his passing, Kim Dong-ha said, “He passed away on Thursday, and I visited him on Monday. He was on a ventilator, and it was so sad.”
Kim Dong-ha continued, “He was a true comedian. When a nurse said, ‘Your breathing is too fast, please take care,’ he replied, ‘Can’t my breathing just take a walk?’ Seeing him joke until the end was a learning experience, and it made me think, ‘Is this our destiny?’ It was a complex feeling. He was so cool.”
Regarding this, Shin Dong-yup advised, “(Jeon Yu-seong) hyung doesn’t struggle desperately to be funny. He just does it. You guys don’t need to be swept away by some kind of obsession. You shouldn’t be consumed by that pressure.”
Meanwhile, Jeon Yu-seong passed away on September 25 last year at Chonbuk National University Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for pneumothorax. Even as his health deteriorated to the point of needing an oxygen ventilator, he continued to look after his juniors and never lost his sense of humor, leaving a deep impression on many.
