KBS 2TV’s variety show “2 Days & 1 Night” Season 4 is experiencing frequent member changes. Just five months after entertainer Jo Se-ho’s voluntary departure, actor Yoo Seon-ho has now announced he is leaving the show.
On the 12th, “2 Days & 1 Night” stated, “Member Yoo Seon-ho, who has been with us for a long time—three and a half years—is graduating from ‘2 Days & 1 Night’.” They added, “Yoo Seon-ho will personally deliver his final farewell to viewers during the broadcast on the 31st.”

Before Yoo Seon-ho, member Jo Se-ho left in early December last year following controversy regarding alleged gang involvement. This means two members from the recent Season 4 lineup have now departed. While the production team initially shifted to a five-member system by leaving Jo Se-ho’s spot vacant, Yoo Seon-ho’s exit leaves only four members, making the recruitment of new members inevitable.
“2 Days & 1 Night” takes pride in being a flagship KBS variety show that has aired for 20 years since 2007. However, it has struggled with frequent member departures and replacements. MC Mong, Lee Soo-geun, Jung Joon-young, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Jun-ho, Kim Seon-ho, and Ravi left due to personal controversies. Additionally, since the show often featured actors, Uhm Tae-woong, Kim Seung-woo, Yoo Hae-jin, Joo Won, Kim Joo-hyuk, Yoon Shi-yoon, Yeon Jung-hoon, and Na In-woo left to focus on their acting projects.

While other programs also experience member changes, they often use a “seasonal system” to provide a sense of closure for viewers. However, since “2 Days & 1 Night” continues to broadcast weekly even while transitioning seasons, it often creates confusion as existing and new members are mixed together.
Maintaining a fixed cast is a crucial element of a popular variety show. Fans love the unique characters and the chemistry between members. When members repeatedly disappear one by one, affection for the cast and the program inevitably cools down.
