SBS 'Master of Living' Apologizes for Unauthorized Filming Controversy, Admitting

SBS’s ‘Master of Living’ has officially apologized following a controversy involving unauthorized filming.

On the 12th, the ‘Master of Living’ team released a statement, bowing their heads and stating, “We admit the mistake that occurred due to the production team’s excessive greed during the production process and deeply apologize.”

They continued, “The production team intends to personally visit those involved to offer a sincere apology.” They also noted, “The video in question has been deleted and will be reposted after a thorough review and re-editing.”

Finally, they promised, “We will use this incident as an opportunity to thoroughly check our internal systems and do our best to prevent this from happening again.”

The controversy began after an episode titled ‘War of Bread – Korea’s Best Croissants’ aired on the 11th, featuring croissant experts from around the country. A bakery owner, referred to as ‘A’, took to social media to claim, “The ‘Master of Living’ broadcast is truly low-quality. Even though I refused filming, they returned an hour later and secretly filmed my work through a gap in the door.”

First airing in 2005, ‘Master of Living’ is one of SBS’s flagship long-running programs that spotlights individuals who have become masters in their respective fields through decades of passion and hard work.
