Defconn Shares Heartwarming Memory: “Tuna Symbolized Success for Me!”

Defconn Shares Heartwarming Memory:
SBS ‘Choigang Road-Sikpoiller’ capture

Defconn opened up about how tuna represents success in his life.

In the May 12 broadcast of SBS’s ‘Choigang Road-Sikpoiller’ episode 4, Chef Choi Kang-rok, Chef Kim Do-yoon, and Defconn, along with guest Chef Jung Ho-young, embarked on a “tuna road” trip to Yokjido.

Recalling his early days, Defconn shared, “Back when I had curly hair, I used the first money I ever earned to go to an all-you-can-eat tuna restaurant. To me, tuna was the symbol of success. I couldn’t even imagine regular tuna, so I went for the most expensive course at the all-you-can-eat spot. It was delicious!”

Chef Kim Do-yoon also shared a memory, saying, “Thinking about tuna takes me back to the 80s. I think I was in third grade? I went on a field trip to a tuna factory where they had a huge tuna hanging, and I got to eat both canned tuna and sashimi.” Defconn was impressed, reacting, “You were a total rich kid!”

The mood turned playful when Chef Jung Ho-young suddenly whispered something to Chef Choi Kang-rok, leaving everyone curious. When Defconn asked why he was whispering, Chef Kim Do-yoon looked on intently. Chef Choi Kang-rok later revealed to the production team that the whisper was actually, “If we whisper like this, Chef Kim Do-yoon will look at us, right? Then he really will,” which sparked laughter.

Jung Ho-young’s prediction was spot on! The laughter continued as Defconn teased, “If you let your guard down today, you might lose Choi Kang-rok,” leaving Chef Kim Do-yoon looking quite nervous.
