The group I.O.I recently shared a variety of hilarious episodes regarding their past life living together in a dorm.
On the May 4th episode of SBS’s ‘Ani Geunde Jinjja!’, the members of I.O.I appeared as a full group to reveal various stories from their time in the dorm.
First, the youngest member, Jeon Somi, brought up her experiences with conflict among the members. Recalling an incident with Kim Sejeong, Jeon Somi explained, “We had a monthly meeting, and because there were so many members, the meeting dragged on. I had a very early schedule the next day, so I lay down on the sofa for a bit, but Sejeong unnie told me, ‘All the unnies are sitting, so isn’t this rude?'” Jeon Somi said she jumped up immediately after hearing this.
In response, Kim Sejeong sparked laughter by saying, “I don’t remember the exact moment, but even hearing it now, I think you should stand up. Who among us wasn’t tired?” Jeon Somi also shared, “Unnie was right, but it was too harsh for a sixteen-year-old,” earning sympathy from the others.

Jeon Somi and Kim Doyeon were pointed out as the members who were most opposite. The cause of their conflict was their “tone of speaking.” Jeon Somi revealed, “Unnie hated the way I talked,” and Kim Doyeon admitted, “I think I took Somi’s tone too sensitively.”
An episode known as the “Bread Incident” was also revealed. It started when Kim Doyeon asked Jeon Somi if she could eat some bread, and Jeon Somi replied, “Yeah, eat it.” Feeling offended by the tone, Kim Doyeon got angry, asking, “Why is your tone like that?” She then went into her room and sent a long message about “how to treat an unnie,” which sparked laughter. Listening to this, Tak Jae-hoon lightened the mood by saying, “You two come out, I’ll buy you bread.”
The members also discussed the realistic side of dorm life. Choi Yoo-jung was voted as the messiest member in first place, followed by Kim Sejeong in second. Kim Doyeon added to the laughter by summarizing, “Yoo-jung is a maximalist, and Sejeong is just the messy type.”

An anecdote about an ant infestation in the dorm was also shared. Jeon Somi explained, “We didn’t clean up the food properly. At some point, the unnies started screaming outside the door.” She added, “When I went out, there were ants on the food. We used the vacuum and sprayed F-killer.” She then joked, “I thought women had it hard back then,” causing more laughter.
