Kang Da-bin is in total shock!
In the 48th episode of the KBS 2TV daily drama ‘Red Pearl’ aired on the evening of the 12th, Park Hyun-jun (played by Kang Da-bin) discovers that his father, Park Tae-ho (played by Choi Jae-sung), is the one responsible for the deaths of Baek Jun-gi (played by Nam Sung-jin) and Baek Jin-ju (played by Nam Sang-ji).
On this day, Chloe (played by Nam Sang-ji) visited Park Tae-ho and played a recording of a call with Choi Yoon-ah (played by Cheon Hee-joo). The recording contained Choi Yoon-ah’s voice saying, “I know the truth about the incident from seven years ago that Chairman Park Tae-ho is hiding.” Chloe tested Park Tae-ho, saying, “Team Leader Choi keeps trying to drag me in, saying she wants to get revenge on the Chairman. I don’t want to be involved in troublesome matters,” to which Park Tae-ho sharpened his resolve, stating, “I’ll handle it from here.”
Park Tae-ho visited Choi Yoon-ah’s house with bodyguards and threatened her, saying, “My son left home saying he would ‘sever the ties of kinship.’ If the events of seven years ago leaked out through your mouth, I’ll make sure you can never open it again.” Only then did Choi Yoon-ah realize she had fallen for Chloe’s trick, but the damage was already done.
While casually looking through Temi Bio materials handed over by Kim Dan-hee (played by Park Jin-hee) to be placed in Park Min-jun’s room, Park Hyun-jun was horrified to find a note suggesting that Park Tae-ho tried to cover up the incident involving Baek Jun-gi and Jin-ju. Park Hyun-jun looked shocked, asking, “Was it not a simple accident, but intentional?” In reality, this was a trap set by Kim Dan-hee in case Park Min-jun did not return.
Park Hyun-jun called out to Park Tae-ho, who was in the room, and stammered, “Father, you… Baek Jin-ju’s father, so Park Min-jun…” before snapping, “The Temi Bio traffic accident seven years ago. Did you intend to kill someone?” Park Tae-ho shouted back, “Why are you talking nonsense too? Did that guy Park Min-jun tell you something strange?”
Meanwhile, Park Min-jun (played by Kim Kyung-bo) visited the burial site of Baek Jun-gi and Jin-ju and blamed himself for having resented Baek Jun-gi in the past. He then received a promise from Kim Dan-hee, who arrived later, saying, “If there is something you must face your father about, come back. Your mother will help you.” Afterward, Park Min-jun returned home and bowed his head, asking for Park Tae-ho’s forgiveness.
‘Red Pearl’ is a revenge chronicle about two women who return with fake identities to uncover the sins and truths hidden within the Adel family. It airs every Monday to Friday at 7:50 PM on KBS 2TV.
