Entertainer Lee Kyung-kyu’s team has firmly denied recent rumors about his health, stating they are “completely groundless.” They explained that the slurred speech that caused concern among some fans was simply a temporary issue with his physical condition.
On the 12th, Lee Kyung-kyu’s agency, ADG Company, stated, “There are no problems at all with Lee Kyung-kyu’s health.”
Rumors had been spreading online regarding changes in Lee Kyung-kyu’s speech and pronunciation, sparked by a video uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘God Kyung-kyu’ on the 7th.

In the video, Director Lee Hye-min warned that nearly half of the domestic population is at risk of diabetes, and Lee Kyung-kyu honestly shared his own health concerns.
He mentioned, “After being diagnosed with pre-diabetes, the variety of foods I can eat has decreased significantly,” adding that “every meal is now a source of stress.”
However, viewers focused more on Lee Kyung-kyu’s condition than the actual content.
Comments flooded the video, with fans noting, “His pronunciation is different than before,” “His speech sounds mumbled,” “He looks uncomfortable,” and “His face looks different.” Some viewers expressed worry, saying they could feel a change compared to a video from just a week ago.
As the rumors escalated into health concerns, the agency stepped in to clear the air.
Lee Kyung-kyu’s side explained, “He has been experiencing some fatigue due to consecutive filming schedules that require a lot of physical energy, such as childcare and fishing. The health rumors are groundless.”
In fact, Lee Kyung-kyu appeared on the KBS live special ‘2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup D-30 Planning for Victory!’ at 7:20 PM that day.
Known as a representative soccer enthusiast in the entertainment industry, he plans to travel to Mexico, where the North and Central America World Cup will be held, to cheer in person.
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-kyu previously shared an anecdote about his health check-up on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ last year. At the time, he revealed, “I had an MRI after hearing that earlobe wrinkles could be a sign of myocardial infarction or cerebral hemorrhage.”
In another broadcast, he confessed, “In the past, I drank so much that I had blackouts twice a week,” and shared that when he suffered a myocardial infarction, the doctor asked how he had survived. He mentioned that he has since been managing his health by consistently taking medication.
