Broadcaster Seo Dong-ju, who has experienced a missed miscarriage, visited a famous oriental clinic in Gyeongju.
On May 7, a video titled “[Infertility Vlog] Seo Dong-ju finally goes to Gyeongju oriental clinic! | Gyeongju 2-day 1-night vlog” was posted on the channel “Seo Dong-ju’s Tto.do.dong,” showing her journey to Gyeongju.
Seo Dong-ju shared, “Isn’t there a famous oriental clinic in Gyeongju? I finally got to go. So many people told me I should definitely visit. We wanted to go, but it was so hard to make a reservation. I finally made it happen.”
Due to heavy traffic, Seo Dong-ju stopped for a meal with her husband and acquaintances. She lamented, “The road to the Gyeongju oriental clinic is long and arduous.” She also strongly advised her friends, “You guys should get your eggs retrieved and frozen quickly. Don’t suffer like I did.”
Regarding the clinic, she explained, “I saw it on a show before. There’s a legend that Director Jang Hang-jun and Writer Kim Eun-hee visited and became pregnant.” The clinic is known to have been in operation for over 130 years.
Seo Dong-ju confessed, “I’m heading to the clinic soon and I’m just so, so excited. I feel like I’m finally visiting that legendary place. I slept well tonight, but I went to bed with a fluttering heart.” During her visit, she discussed her past struggles with infertility.
The doctor noted, “So this time, there were 10 retrievals and one transfer, but it ended in a miscarriage.” Afterward, Seo Dong-ju received 20 days’ worth of herbal medicine and went to drink tea that is good for pregnancy. She shared, “In conclusion, it’s because my physical strength is too good. Because I have great stamina and a positive personality, I’m the type to work too much without realizing how hard it is. They said I’ve lived while overtaxing my body.”
Seo Dong-ju added, “Now I drink very little coffee or none at all. I used to drink a lot. They knew all of that. They told me that if it weren’t for the pregnancy issue, I’m a very healthy person who could easily live to be 100.”
