Hwang Hye-young, from the popular 90s co-ed group Two Two, is surprising everyone by sharing wild episodes from her peak days of stardom.
Hwang Hye-young of Two Two will appear as a guest on TV CHOSUN’s ‘Perfect Life’, airing on the 13th at 8 PM.
When the “original pocket girl” Hwang Hye-young appeared, MC Hyun Young called her the “Jennie of the 90s.” Hwang Hye-young brought laughter to the set by singing Two Two’s hit song ‘One and a Half’ with her trademark expressionless face. She shocked everyone by revealing, “During my peak, I had 11 to 12 schedules a day. To save travel time, I sometimes used helicopters and motorcycles,” and “During rush hour traffic, I even took a boat on the Han River to get to my schedules.”
Comedian Lee Sung-mi asked, “Weren’t you incredibly popular at military consolation performances back then?” Hwang Hye-young recalled an unforgettable moment of recognition, saying, “I appeared on ‘Stage of Friendship’ (a military consolation program). Seo Taiji and Boys were the closing act that day, and Two Two performed right before them. As Seo Taiji came off stage, he said, ‘I can’t beat you guys here.'”
