In the upcoming episode of Channel A’s variety show ‘Groom’s Class 2’ airing on the 14th, the ‘Sung-So Couple’ Kim Sung-soo and Park So-yoon will have a ‘mini meeting between families’ as they meet Kim Sung-soo’s mother.
Kim Sung-soo goes on a ‘mother-son date’ with his mother, who is appearing on the show for the first time. He drives to Pocheon Sanjeong Lake, the site of his first date with Park So-yoon. When the conversation turns to Park So-yoon, his mother laughs and reveals, “The aunts and I have already planned your second generation. I hope you have twins.” Just then, Park So-yoon calls, and Kim Sung-soo makes a surprise suggestion: “Do you want to come to the place where I’m having dinner with my mother?” Though surprised, Park So-yoon readily agrees, asking, “Suddenly? If your mother is okay with it, may I go?”
However, the three are enveloped in an awkward atmosphere once they meet at the restaurant. A subtle tension forms, especially since Kim Sung-soo sits next to his mother instead of Park So-yoon. Park So-yoon tries to lighten the mood by preparing utensils and water for the mother, but Kim Sung-soo beats her to it with lightning speed, leaving her feeling a bit awkward. Despite the tension, Park So-yoon manages to turn things around by presenting a gift to Kim Sung-soo’s mother.
In a now friendly atmosphere, Park So-yoon asks, “What kind of son was oppa when he was young?” When Kim Sung-soo briefly steps away, the mother throws a direct question at Park So-yoon: “There’s something I want to ask… how far have you thought about things with Sung-soo?” Watching from the studio, ‘Student Dean’ Tak Jae-hoon gets fully immersed and asks, “They’ve been dating for six months, so how far has the progress (skinship) gone?” All eyes are on how Park So-yoon will answer the mother’s question regarding ‘marriage.’
‘Groom’s Class’ airs every Thursday at 10 PM.
