Actor Jang Keun-suk recently visited Wendy’s ‘Young Street,’ spending a special time with listeners through his unchanging wit and nostalgic stories.
On the broadcast aired on the 13th, Jang Keun-suk appeared as a guest to celebrate the 30th anniversary of SBS Power FM, recalling his time as the 6th DJ of ‘Young Street.’
Jang Keun-suk kicked off the show by reading the opening remarks. He sparked nostalgia by recalling, “Back then, I used to come for live broadcasts wearing my school uniform,” adding, “It was a time when we didn’t have school on Saturdays.”
His love for radio is still strong. Jang Keun-suk expressed his deep attachment, saying, “My frequency is still fixed to 107.7MHz,” and “The 11th floor of SBS is like a second home to me.” He even made DJ Wendy laugh with a playful suggestion: “Please let me be the special DJ for just one week when you go on vacation!”
He also shared a bit about his current life, confessing, “I’m the type of person who can’t rest even when I want to. I always end up doing something.” Listeners related to this, commenting, “If Jang Keun-suk lives that diligently, I should work hard too.”
Towards the end of the show, he caught everyone’s attention by singing a snippet of a song upon a request to bring back his 2004 Christmas special live performance. Jang Keun-suk noted, “I still remember the lyrics even after all this time,” and burst into laughter while listening to his past voice.
Wendy presented Jang Keun-suk with a plaque of appreciation she had prepared. He added a heartwarming touch to the moment, sharing, “It was even more meaningful because it was a time when I could face the version of myself who sat in that spot back then.”
