The ‘Miss Trot 4’ Top 7 are set to deliver a mix of excitement and emotion through their new show, ‘Miss Trot For You’!
A production presentation for the TV CHOSUN variety show ‘Miss Trot For You’ was held on the morning of the 14th at the Gasan-dong studio in Seoul. The event was attended by Boom, Ahn Sung-hoon, Lee So-na, Heo Chan-mi, Hong Seong-yoon, Gil Ryeo-won, Yoon Tae-hwa, Yoon Yoon-seo, Yeom Yu-ri, CP Min Byeong-ju, and PD Lim Ji-hoon.
‘Miss Trot For You’ is an exciting music show where the ‘Miss Trot 4’ Top 7 team up with special partners for a series of passionate and moving duet performances. The team that takes first place will even walk away with prize money!
The Top 7 will be performing alongside fans, friends, family members, and aspiring singers who truly need a stage, bringing heartwarming moments and high energy to the viewers.
PD Lim Ji-hoon explained the concept, saying, “While we’ve had various spin-off programs, ‘Miss Trot For You’ has a cute logo and set, but it is strictly a competition program.” He added, “With preliminaries and finals, there will be eliminations, which is why the contestants are taking it very seriously, resulting in truly wonderful performances.”
Lee So-na, who took the ‘Jin’ (1st place) title in ‘Miss Trot 4,’ admitted she feels the most pressure now that she’s competing with non-celebrities. “I feel like I might be the one under the most pressure personally,” she shared. “The competition had ended, but now I’m competing again. Since I received the ‘Jin’ title, I feel a responsibility to sing even better for the non-celebrity partners.”
She continued, “In ‘Miss Trot 4,’ the focus was on rankings, but each member of the Top 7 has so many different strengths. I hope ‘Miss Trot For You’ allows the unique charms of the Top 7 to shine. As the ‘Jin,’ I’m doing my absolute best so that I don’t get eliminated!”
‘Sun’ (2nd place) Heo Chan-mi shared her nerves, saying, “I’m actually quite nervous that my partners might be better singers than me, so I feel like I need to practice a lot.” She added, “Anyone who wants to partner with the Top 7 is always welcome!”
‘Mi’ (3rd place) Hong Seong-yoon admitted that navigating a spin-off is challenging since she’s still new to the broadcasting world. “It feels like I’m competing again right after the main competition ended, which is a bit scary,” she confessed, “but I have no doubt that the partners I’ll be working with will do a great job.”
MC Boom, who is leading the show, expressed his joy: “I love music so much and have a background in it myself, so I’ve been incredibly happy throughout the recording. Dueting is all about communication, and I’ve realized through this show that we can truly communicate through music. I’ll do my best to enjoy every moment on stage.”
Ahn Sung-hoon, the ‘Jin’ of ‘Mr. Trot 2,’ is stepping into the MC role for the first time. “I’ve only ever sung, but now I’m growing as an MC alongside Boom hyung and learning a lot from him,” he said. “It’s so much fun to work with the people I watched while serving as a master on ‘Miss Trot 4.’ I’ll do my best to be a ‘growing chick MC’!”
