The non-verbal performance Nanta brought an explosive presence to the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards!
As Korea’s representative non-verbal performance, Nanta heated up the stage and once again proved why it is known as a “national performance.”
A special stage was prepared at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards to celebrate the creation of the Baeksang Musical Award and the 60th anniversary of Korean musicals. Nanta wowed the audience with a massive 10-person version of their performance, which differs from their usual scale. The appearance of chef and broadcaster Choi Kang-rok as a special guest also caught everyone’s attention.
With its intense rhythm, explosive energy, and a unique collaboration, the performance became one of the highlight scenes of the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards. Additionally, Nanta and Artistic Director Song Seung-hwan were named among the “60 Who Shined in Korean Musicals,” a selection made by the Baeksang Arts Awards to mark the 60th anniversary of Korean musicals.

Nanta holds special significance as a representative work that contributed to the globalization and popularization of Korean performance content. Since its premiere in 1997, Nanta has established itself as Korea’s leading performance content, communicating with audiences worldwide without language barriers by modernizing traditional Samulnori rhythms.
To keep the excitement from the Baeksang Arts Awards going, Nanta is launching a special discount promotion!
A 40% discount will be applied to all shows when booking by May 31. Tickets are available through the official The Nanta website, NOL Ticket, and other major booking platforms.
An official from PMC Production stated, “It was meaningful to showcase Nanta’s unique energy and Korean performance on such a significant stage as the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards. We will continue to deliver special performances as Korea’s representative show.”
Song Seung-hwan’s family musical, ‘The Story of Under the Sea,’ is also open for bookings ahead of its summer run.
Returning after seven years since its 2019 premiere, the production will run from July 10 to August 23 at the Olympic Park Woori Financial Art Hall.
