As of 9 AM on the 14th, the “Trot Masterpiece” category of the “iMBC Trot Awards” is garnering massive attention as a fierce three-way showdown between Lim Young-woong, Young Tak, and Lee Chan-won.

The “Trot Masterpiece” category isn’t just about current popularity. It focuses on representative trot tracks that have been loved for a long time or created a huge buzz. Fans are now locked in an intense competition to decide whose song truly represents the era.

Currently, Lim Young-woong’s “Trust in Me” is leading the pack, but Young Tak’s “Jjin-iya” and Lee Chan-won’s “Sijeol Inyeon” are chasing hard thanks to their powerful fandoms. Since all three are mega-hits of the era, the competition for fandom pride is only getting more intense.

Other contenders in the race include Kim Hee-jae’s “Ttarattarawa”, Son Tae-jin’s “Person Who Gives Happiness”, Song Ga-in’s “Gain-ieora”, Eun Ga-eun’s “Tiki Taka”, Jang Min-ho’s “Good Times”, Jeon Yu-jin’s “Evening Primrose”, Jeong Dong-won’s “Monologue”, and Hong Ji-yoon’s “Set Sail”.

The “1st iMBC Trot Awards”, a collaboration between iMBC Entertainment and the participatory celeb fandom app “CelebChamp”, is a specialized trot project under the slogan “An awards ceremony noticed by the media and decided by fans.” Winners in each category are selected based on fan voting conducted through the CelebChamp app.
