Broadcaster Lee Geum-hee, a former announcer, has revealed that she is experiencing health issues with her throat.
On the 13th, Lee Geum-hee posted on her SNS, “I’m sorry. I have a severe cold and my vocal cords are so swollen that my doctor recommended I remain silent for a while,” along with a photo.
The photo shows Lee Geum-hee receiving an IV drip in her hand.
Lee Geum-hee has been hosting KBS coolFM’s ‘It’s a Good Day to Love, I’m Lee Geum-hee’ since 2007, but she was unable to host the show on this day. Announcer Park Ju-ah stepped in as the special DJ.

In an episode of Channel A’s ‘Best Friend Documentary – Table for Four’ aired last December, Lee Geum-hee previously shared, “I had acute laryngitis and couldn’t speak for two weeks. A substitute took over the radio, and I communicated with the production team via text. For two weeks, I really couldn’t make a sound.”
Lee Geum-hee joined KBS as part of the 16th open recruitment of announcers in 1989 and hosted programs such as ‘TV is Carrying Love’, ‘AM Plaza’, and ‘Human Theater’. She went freelance in 2000.
