The pride-filled competition among the next generation of trot stars has officially begun!
As of May 14 (9 AM), the ‘Next Trot Star’ category of the ‘iMBC Trot Awards’ is heating up with a fierce battle for the lead between Park Sung-on and Choi Jae-myung.
‘Next Trot Star’ is a special category where rookies and prodigies who will lead the future of the trot world compete together. A large number of rookies who have proven their outstanding singing ability and star quality despite their young age have made the list, drawing intense interest from fans. Above all, since this category carries the strong symbolism of being an “award that can only be received now,” fandoms are actively encouraging their peers to vote.
Currently, Park Sung-on is leading with approximately 50% of the votes, but Choi Jae-myung is chasing closely with a voting rate in the 30% range. Kim Da-hyun is also making her presence felt, increasing the possibility of a three-way race.
Following them, Kang Min-soo, Kim Tae-yeon, Na Yul, Park Ji-hoo, Bin Ye-seo, Oh Yu-jin, Yoon Seo-ryeong, Choi Woo-jin, Choi Yoon-ha, Haru, and Hwang Min-ho are continuing the intense competition.
The ‘1st iMBC Trot Awards’, organized by iMBC Entertainment and the participatory celeb fandom app ‘CelebChamp’, is a trot-specialized project under the slogan “An awards ceremony noticed by the media and decided by fans.” Winners in each category are selected based on fan votes, which are conducted through the CelebChamp app.
Winners and top-ranking artists will be provided with various rewards, including planned articles and videos produced by iMBC Entertainment, as well as banner advertisements on the iMBC Entertainment homepage and the CelebChamp app.
