The production team of comedian Lee Su-ji’s popular YouTube channel, ‘Hot Issue-ji,’ has released an official statement regarding a recent surge in impersonation crimes, urging fans and industry insiders to be extremely cautious.

On the 13th, an urgent notice was posted on the ‘Hot Issue-ji’ community tab stating, “Cases have been confirmed where individuals are impersonating production staff and officials to contact people privately or induce meetings.” These impersonators are reportedly approaching targets with offers for appearances or collaborations to steal personal information or attempt inappropriate meetings.
The production team clarified, “‘Hot Issue-ji’ handles all contacts regarding appearances and collaborations only through official emails or verified representatives.” They firmly stated that any requests for personal information, photos, or materials from unverified contacts, or attempts to force face-to-face meetings, are “100% impersonations.”

To prevent further victims, the team emphasized, “If you need to verify the authenticity, please double-check through the official email,” and expressed gratitude to the fans who reported these incidents. As the YouTube ecosystem expands, scams exploiting the influence of famous channels are becoming more sophisticated, making ‘Hot Issue-ji’s’ proactive response a wake-up call for the entire industry.
