Lee Hyo-je from ‘Girigo’ is bragging about the amazing bond he shares with his co-stars!

Actor Lee Hyo-je recently sat down with Sports Today at their office in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to talk all about the Netflix original series ‘Girigo’.

‘Girigo’ tells the story of high schoolers fighting to escape a sudden death prediction caused by a curse from a wish-granting app of the same name. Lee Hyo-je delivers a great performance as Choi Hyung-wook, a playful prankster who loves hanging out with friends and happens to be the first one to make a wish on the ‘Girigo’ app.

During the interview, Lee Hyo-je spoke about the “Seorin High 5,” the group of students from Seorin High. The group consists of himself, Jeon So-young (playing Yusea), Kang Mina (playing Im Nari), Baek Sun-ho (playing Kim Gun-woo), and Hyun Woo-seok (playing Kang Ha-jun).

“The Seorin High 5 talked a lot even before filming started. We’re all very close and get along great,” Lee Hyo-je shared. “Actor Jeon So-young felt like a real older sister and was like a leader on set. Even now, she’s the one asking us when we should all meet up!”

He also recalled, “Actor Kang Mina was incredibly focused on set, and there was so much I could learn from her. She also thought I was really cute! As for actor Hyun Woo-seok, he was as kind as an older brother and took such good care of me during filming.”

“I’m close with all four of them, but I felt especially close to actor Baek Sun-ho since we’re only one year apart. We have similar goals when it comes to acting. We talked a lot, and we really connected through our shared desire to find ‘authenticity’ in our craft. I think the chemistry between the five of us was truly wonderful,” he explained.

Meanwhile, all episodes of ‘Girigo’ were released on the 24th of last month.
