Singer and actress Song Ji-eun has opened up about her feelings as she decides to face malicious comments head-on.
On the 14th, Song Ji-eun shared photos from the filming of SBS’s ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny’ on her social media account.
Song Ji-eun announced that she and her husband will appear on the show next Tuesday. “It’s still amazing and I’m so grateful that our story is being featured on a program I usually enjoy,” she shared. “After marriage, I feel like I’m experiencing so many new joys and lessons that I didn’t know when I was alone.” She added, “Thanks to all of you who sent so much love and support during filming, I was able to approach it with a warm heart.” She also asked fans, “I hope you can watch our daily lives with a comfortable mind. Please just enjoy it lightly, thinking, ‘That’s how that couple lives.'”
In the preview released by SBS ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny’ on the 13th, Song Ji-eun and Park We are seen candidly discussing rumors and malicious comments that referred to her as a “free caregiver.” In the video, Park We stated, “I’ll reveal this for the first time. I, Park We, do not receive help with bowel movements.” Song Ji-eun also broke down in tears, saying, “I saw a comment on our wedding video saying ‘hiring a free caregiver,’ and I felt like I needed to explain it once.”
Song Ji-eun, a former member of the group Secret, married Park We, who was diagnosed with paraplegia following a cervical fracture in 2024. The couple runs the channel ‘Weracle,’ where they share their honest stories and newlywed life. Meanwhile, the two were embroiled in controversy last month after announcing the introduction of a paid membership for ‘Weracle.’ While they set the fee at 2,990 won to provide higher-quality content, some of the public questioned whether this aligned with the channel’s direction, leading the couple to issue an official apology.
