Actor Jang Keun-suk (38) revealed that he has a personality that makes it impossible for him to just relax.
On the May 13th broadcast of SBS Power FM’s “Wendy’s Young Street” (hereafter “Young Street”), Jang Keun-suk appeared as a guest to celebrate the 30th anniversary of SBS Power FM. He previously served as the 6th DJ of “Young Street” from May 3, 2004, to October 31, 2005.
During the show, Jang Keun-suk opened the broadcast by reading the opening remarks for the first time in a long while. He reminisced, saying, “Back then, I would even come to the live broadcast wearing my school uniform,” adding, “It was a time when we didn’t go to school on Saturdays.”
He also showed his special affection for radio. When asked if he still listens to the radio often, he replied, “My frequency is still fixed at 107.7MHz,” and said, “The 11th floor of SBS is like a home to me.” He even suggested to DJ Wendy, “Please let me be the special DJ for just one week when you go on vacation.”
Regarding his recent life, he confessed, “I want to rest, but I have a personality that can’t. I always end up doing something.” Listeners reacted by saying, “Since Jang Keun-suk lives so diligently, I should live diligently too.” Jang Keun-suk is known to be a building owner with real estate worth around 130 billion won in Samseong-dong and Cheongdam-dong in Seoul, as well as Tokyo, Japan.
Upon a request to hear the live performance he did for the 2004 Christmas special, he sang a snippet on the spot. Jang Keun-suk mentioned, “I still remember the lyrics even after all this time,” and burst into laughter while listening to his past voice.
DJ Wendy presented Jang Keun-suk with a plaque of appreciation she had prepared. Jang Keun-suk shared his thoughts, saying, “It was even more meaningful because it was a time when I could face the version of myself who sat in that spot back then.”
