Japanese visual rock legend GACKT sent a heartfelt message to fans ahead of his first concert in Korea in 20 years.
Ahead of his performance on the 21st, he shared a message in both Korean and Japanese via his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He wrote, “Have you waited long? May 21st is my first Korean concert in a very long time. I’ve successfully finished rehearsals.” He added, “I can’t wait to see you. There’s a special atmosphere that can only be felt in Korea. Let’s create that moment together! I’ll show you the best live performance. Please look forward to it.” The photo shared alongside the post appears to be from the rehearsals he mentioned.
This concert is part of the world tour for the project band YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz and will take place on the 21st at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Meanwhile, GACKT debuted in 1995 as the vocalist for the visual rock band Malice Mizer and already has a large fan base in Korea. He is well known as a musician who is very fond of Korea, having expressed deep interest in Korean music and dramas.
