Jung Yi-seo is gearing up for a superpower transformation in ‘Wonderfuls’!
She will appear as Seok Ju-ran in the Netflix series ‘Wonderfuls’ (directed by Yoo In-sik and written by Heo Da-jung), which premieres on May 15.
‘Wonderfuls’ is a comic adventure series set at the end of the century in 1999. It follows a group of neighborhood misfits who accidentally gain superpowers and struggle to save the world from villains threatening peace.
Jung Yi-seo’s character, Seok Ju-ran, is one of the ‘Wunderkinder’ trio who gained abilities through experiments conducted by Ha Won-do (played by Son Hyun-joo), the head of the ‘Wunderkinder Project’. With the power to brainwash and control anyone she chooses, she is expected to lead the series with her mysterious charm and aura.
Fans are especially excited to see her bring a multi-dimensional depth to Seok Ju-ran, a character who rarely reveals her true intentions.
During the ‘Wonderfuls’ press conference, Jung Yi-seo shared, “To visually express the use of brainwashing powers, I used as much imagination as possible and researched various eye expressions and voice tones to build a high-quality character.”
Having already made a mark as a scene-stealer in various works like ‘Parasite’, ‘Decision to Leave’, ‘Her Hobby’, ‘The Killers’, ‘Tale of the Nine Tailed’, ‘Mine’, ‘All of Us Are Dead’, ‘King of the Desert’, and ‘A Killer Paradox’, all eyes are now on the wonderful performance she will deliver in ‘Wonderfuls’.
