Actor Shin Dong-wook, who has been fighting a rare disease, shared a healthy update with his fans.
On the 14th, Shin Dong-wook posted photos on his account with the caption, “The place where I ate as much pho as I wanted and gained 3kg.”
Shin Dong-wook looks relaxed against an exotic backdrop. He caught everyone’s attention with a bright smile while sitting on the ground with a camera around his neck, and a playful update from the dining table saying, “Had two bowls of pho since morning and got a blood sugar spike.”
Seeing this, actress Go Hyun-jung expressed her delight by leaving a comment saying, “Wow.” Shin Dong-wook also showed his positive side by joking, “But I have to stop eating,” in response to a fan’s comment: “Oppa, when will you appear in a drama again? It’s okay if you don’t, as long as you stay healthy and eat well.”

Meanwhile, Shin Dong-wook was diagnosed with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) while serving in the military in 2010 and was medically discharged in July of the following year. CRPS is a rare disease known to be incurable, causing chronic neuropathic pain in a specific area after an injury.
After a long battle with the illness, Shin Dong-wook returned in the 2017 drama ‘The Watchman’ and later appeared in ‘Dr. Romantic’ seasons 2 and 3. However, since the end of ‘Dr. Romantic 3,’ he has been focusing on his treatment again.
