Epik High released a video titled “Former Colleague Gathering ft. Taeyang” on their official YouTube channel ‘EPIKASE’ on the 14th.
Epik High welcomed Taeyang as a guest after his return from the Coachella Festival. The group showed off their amazing chemistry as they honestly shared stories and feelings from their days together at YG Entertainment.
Tablo brought up the time he imitated Taeyang’s dancing and even reenacted it on the spot, leaving Taeyang flustered. Taeyang admitted, “People leave comments on my performance videos saying, ‘This reminds me of Tablo hyung. I shouldn’t laugh, but it’s funny,'” while breaking a sweat.
The conversation then turned to BIGBANG’s comeback. Taeyang confessed, “I need to complete the album now. I have songs, but nothing is decided yet. I’m seriously in trouble,” before calling GD right then and there.
GD replied, “I’m still working on it. The title track isn’t out yet.” When asked about the comeback timing, he mentioned a specific period and teased, “Wouldn’t there be something around then?” raising fans’ expectations.
Epik High and Taeyang also reminisced about their first meeting. As former colleagues, they engaged in a savage “exposure war,” with Tablo revealing a story about how Taeyang dealt with hate comments after posting a shirtless photo on social media.
Despite the playful diss battle, their long-standing affection for one another was evident. Epik High highly praised Taeyang’s perfectionism in his music work, and they wrapped up the episode warmly by cheering each other on.
