Comedian Lee Sang-hoon, known as the “Yoo Jae-suk of the toy world,” is returning to MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View with an even more epic look into his geeky lifestyle!
In the 398th episode airing on the 16th, the scene of a massive toy flea market hosted by Lee Sang-hoon will be revealed. Held in honor of Children’s Day, this event is essentially a festival for “kidults.” With nearly 100 sales booths, the event captures everyone’s attention with a huge array of limited edition figures and ultra-rare toys that are usually hard to find.
Word has it that the atmosphere was electric as collectors from all over the country gathered in one place. With approximately 2,000 visitors creating long waiting lines, expectations for the flea market are skyrocketing.
To pick out items for the flea market, Lee Sang-hoon visits his private warehouse. Since his existing museum space wasn’t enough, he is now using a separate warehouse. The toy boxes filling the space are so numerous they resemble a giant toy store, leaving everyone in awe.
Interest is peaking as the show prepares to reveal a voice-responsive Iron Man mask and a lightsaber gifted by Kang Daniel, who is well-known as a Star Wars enthusiast.
To determine the selling prices, Lee Sang-hoon brings out his “Figu-book” (a figure account book) where he recorded the original purchase prices. When the cast asked if he had ever calculated the total amount, he shocked everyone by revealing, “I’ve calculated up to 500 million won.”
He also shared updates on his life since his last appearance. Lee Sang-hoon revealed, “The number of visitors to the toy museum has increased sevenfold since the broadcast,” adding, “I plan to clear all the debts incurred from establishing the museum within this month.” He credited Omniscient Interfering View for this success, earning a round of applause from the MCs.
