Former Miss Korea and broadcaster Jang Yoon-jung has shared some updates on her life.
Through a YouTube video, Jang Yoon-jung revealed her two daughters to the public for the first time.
Her YouTube channel, “Jang Yoon-jung born in ’70,” recently uploaded two videos titled “First child graduated! Seattle Diary” and “Graduation is just an excuse, let’s eat, drink, and be happy from California to Seattle (US Diary).”
In the videos, Jang Yoon-jung attended her eldest daughter’s graduation in the US along with her second daughter. She shared her support, saying, “I’m more nervous than she is,” and “I hope my daughter only has good days ahead.”
Jang Yoon-jung also toured the University of Washington in Seattle, introducing her daughter’s alma mater. She noted, “The campus is so beautiful. I heard this was the motif for the Harry Potter library. Now that my daughter has graduated, when would I ever get to visit again?” She also caught fans’ attention by sharing natural daily moments, such as swimming with her children at a pension during a trip with acquaintances.
On her final night in Seattle, she expressed her tender feelings, saying, “The children who were always in my arms have grown up so quickly. It’s a complex feeling, but a new world will open for them. While celebrating my daughter’s graduation, I will also try to grow one step further.”
The two daughters, revealed for the first time, captured attention with their lovely visuals that look exactly like their mother. Fans also noticed the sweet bond between Jang Yoon-jung and her daughters, whom she calls by their prenatal names, “Malgeum” and “Sangkeum,” as they get along like friends.
Born in 1970, Jang Yoon-jung was crowned the 31st Miss Korea Jin at age 18 and took 2nd place in the 1988 Miss Universe pageant, remaining active in the broadcasting industry throughout the 90s. After moving to the US and taking a long hiatus, she returned this January through the KBS variety show “Hwang Shin-hye’s Let’s Live Together.” Recently, she made headlines by holding her first solo exhibition of folk paintings, revealing her activity as a folk artist for the past seven years.
