
“Korea is a part of my son’s existence.”
Chris Appelhans, the co-director of Netflix’s ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, is visiting Korea to introduce his son to his Korean roots.
In the upcoming episode of MBC Every1’s ‘Welcome, First Time in Korea?’ airing May 21 at 8:30 PM, Chris Appelhans visits Korea to seek inspiration for Season 2.
Director Chris Appelhans will explore various locations across Korea in search of new ideas. The show will also feature a special reunion with the ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ family, including co-director Maggie Kang and Lee Jae. As the key figures behind the global hit gather, fans are eager to see if any behind-the-scenes stories or details about Season 2 will be shared.

Most importantly, he is traveling with his five-year-old Korean-American son, Alexander. Sharing his heartfelt wish as a father to show his son’s heritage beyond a simple vacation, he said, “Korea is a part of my son’s existence. I hope my son can find his identity.”
