The damage lawsuit between former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and Belift Lab is heating up again!
On May 15, the 12th Civil Division of the Seoul Western District Court will hold a hearing for the 2 billion won damage claim filed by Belift Lab against Min. This comes about two months after the court temporarily paused proceedings in March.

During previous hearings, Belift Lab argued that Min intentionally fueled the plagiarism controversy to manipulate public opinion. In response, Min maintained that her statements were made to protect the identity of the artists.
The two sides also clashed over the admissibility of KakaoTalk conversations as evidence. Min’s side argued the data was obtained illegally and cannot be used, while Belift Lab and Source Music countered that the materials were secured with prior consent.
Source Music is also pursuing a separate lawsuit related to the same press conference. They filed a 500 million won damage claim, stating they suffered losses after Min claimed she “personally cast the NewJeans members” and that “Source Music neglected the members.” That hearing has been rescheduled for the 29th.
Meanwhile, Min is also involved in a 25.6 billion won lawsuit against HYBE regarding put-option payments. The first instance court ruled in favor of Min, ordering HYBE to pay the amount, but HYBE has since appealed the decision.
Separately, Min is also tied to a damage lawsuit worth approximately 43 billion won related to the NewJeans exclusive contract dispute.
