Comedian Kim Seung-jin shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes story about how he ended up filling in on ‘Cultwo Show’.
During the May 15 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s ‘Cultwo Show’, where WINNER’s Kang Seung-yoon served as the special DJ, Kim Seung-jin and Lee Jae-yul appeared as guests for the ‘Mang.Gu.Gu.’ segment.
Filling in for Nam Ho-yeon, who had a scheduling conflict, Kim Seung-jin revealed, “I got a call from him two days ago. He mentioned that the dates for a new program he’s joining had suddenly changed. He has this habit of clearing his throat, so I immediately thought, ‘He’s about to ask to borrow money,’ and lowered my voice, asking, ‘What is it?'” He admitted he was already prepared to say no during the call.
Kim Seung-jin added, “He told me, ‘Actually, I can’t make it to Cultwo Show, can you take my place? The production team is on board.’ I replied, ‘Sure, I’ll do it,’ and he cleared his throat again while saying ‘Thanks.’ I could almost feel the spit flying through the phone!” Kim Tae-kyun agreed, noting that Nam Ho-yeon tends to cough when he’s in an awkward position.
Feeling positive about the opportunity, Kim Seung-jin confidently shared, “I’m in great condition. I woke up early, applied a bit of BB cream, and had a cup of coffee to get ready.”
