Veteran trot singer Pyeon Seung-yeop, with 36 years in the industry, is sharing his heartfelt feelings about his fourth marriage, a secret he kept for 15 years.

On the 25th episode of MBN’s ‘Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night’ airing on the 16th, Pyeon Seung-yeop will finally reveal the news of his fourth marriage and the love story behind it.

During the show, Pyeon Seung-yeop explained his decision to go public now, saying, “I didn’t reveal the news of my fourth marriage because of how others might see me, but I felt it was okay to share it now.” Fans are curious about what led him to decide on a fourth marriage after he admitted, “Every time I went through a breakup, I promised myself I would never love again.”

He also shared that his love blossomed after reconnecting with his wife, whom he had met by chance, when she returned to Korea after living in Japan. Pyeon Seung-yeop grabbed attention by confessing that his wife, who is two years younger, is marrying for the first time, adding, “As it turns out, she didn’t marry and stayed single because of me.” This has sparked curiosity about his married life with the woman he described as “the person who suffered the most by my side and the person I’ve treated the worst.”

Pyeon Seung-yeop continued, “My current wife is the one who stayed by my side every time I faced hardships,” and spoke about the various businesses he ran during his hiatus from the stage. In particular, he shared a heartbreaking story about a meat restaurant he operated, which was so successful that customers would rent tour buses to visit, but he was forced to close it due to the sudden outbreak of the mad cow disease crisis. He recalled, “Labor costs alone were 26 million won a month, so I couldn’t endure it.”

‘Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night’ is a new concept issue-maker talk show focusing on “day and night, coolness and passion, information and emotion,” airing every Saturday night at 9:40 PM.

Pyeon Seung-yeop debuted in the music industry in 1992 with his first album ‘Chan Chan Chan’.
