[Exclusive] Kim Jong Kook’s Pick! Gong Myung Returns to Running Man After 7 Years as Potential Rental Member

On the 4th, it was revealed that Gong Myung joined the filming of the SBS variety show Running Man as a guest. This marks his first appearance on the show since January 2019, returning after seven years!

Back then, he appeared alongside actors Ryu Seung Ryong, Lee Hanee, Jin Sun Kyu, and Lee Dong Hwi to promote the movie Extreme Job.

Having shown a great presence on various variety shows, Gong Myung is now being strongly considered as a new rental member for Running Man, following in the footsteps of Kang Hoon, Choi Daniel, and Ji Ye Eun.

In particular, Running Man member Kim Jong Kook told Gong Myung during an appearance on his YouTube channel Gym Jong Kook on the 23rd of last month, “The Running Man PDs really want Gong Myung as a rental member.” He added, “You can come and join us when you’re resting between dramas and leave without looking back. That’s why this rental system was created. We’ll let you go comfortably once your next project starts.”

Gong Myung expressed his willingness to appear, saying, “I’ll get in touch,” to which Kim Jong Kook replied, “Just wait, you’ll get a call from the production team,” raising expectations.

Gong Myung is currently starring in the tvN weekend drama Secret Audit, which premiered on the 25th of last month. Since it is a pre-produced work, filming has already been completed.
