
Former Roo’la member Chae Ri-na is opening up about the trauma she faced after repeated IVF failures.
In the 20th episode of “Lee Ho-sun’s Cider” airing on the 16th, the show explores the theme of “failures that shattered daily life,” sharing stories of those living with wounds from repeated setbacks. Chae Ri-na makes her debut as the program’s first celebrity guest to share her personal pain.
Chae Ri-na reveals that she continued her IVF journey for seven years, until the age of 47. Recalling those times, she confessed, “It was a cycle of being filled with expectation and then having it crash,” adding, “The time spent waiting to hear the results was absolutely terrifying.”
She also opens up about the deep emotional scars she carried for a long time, mentioning that she felt as though she had been stigmatized by those around her following the repeated failures.


After hearing her story, counseling expert Lee Ho-sun offers practical advice and comfort. Chae Ri-na expressed high satisfaction with the session, even joking, “I shouldn’t take my appearance fee. It would be shameless to do so.” Fans are curious to see what kind of “Cider prescription” was given.
